Betty Virginia Walker is the fourth daughter of Ray and Gladys Walker. She, like her other five siblings born of Ray, was raised by Ural Walker, who married Gladys following a divorce. Betty writes in the Family History Hull-Delany 1984-1990 that and her sister Dorothy spent a couple years helping younger sister Patricia with their mother as her health failed liaising in St. Ignatius, Montana. For many years Betty lived on the Frank D. Walker’s ranch at Coriander.
Following the death of he husband, Peter, in 1963, Betty was a lady rancher. Two children were born, Marilyn and Marvin. Both children grew up on the ranches and remain in Val Marie, closely aligned to the rural lifestyle. Betty and Peter Grant were married in 1947.
